Imagine this from your spouse's perspective - seeing these words written by someone they love, and are devoted to. Put yourself in their shoes. My wife is hurt beyond words. Everything has to change. We have no idea what the future will bring. It affects not only me, and my wife, but two children, and even our pets. Imagine how hurt the children will be. Will the kid's dog have a place to stay, or will she have to be put down? That's an awful thought. Is it worth all of this deception, hurt, pain, and change? Do you love your spouse?
I was convinced I do, but my actions prove otherwise. How could I do this to a person who I love and care about? I am a cheater, a liar, and in principal, an adulterer. Although nothing went beyond one cybersex incident this time, and two the last, that in itself is a terrible thing. There is no trust left. I do not blame her. She went for STD testing. *I* know she does not have to worry, but she rightfully fears for her life. Both of our counselors condemn my actions. Why did I do this? How could I have done this?
